We are

We have existed in Tbilisi, Georgia since 1999 as “Studio 99.” Here, we have many young filmmakers and professionals with extensive experience in movies. We shoot commercials, feature films, documentaries, and short films in co-production with France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Russia, and Ukraine. (The Studio’s filmography is attached)

The founder and creative director is film director, screenwriter, and producer, Nana Jorjadze. Her film, “Robinsonada,” was awarded the Caméra d’Or (“Golden Camera”) at the International Cannes Film Festival; “A Chef in Love” received a nomination for an Oscar from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences; and “27 Missing Kisses” was named the Best European Film of 2000, and was nominated for the Felix Award, and the European Film Award, among others.

Another member of the studio is Irakli Kvirikadze, whose work as a screenwriter and director on the films “Pitcher,” “Swimmer,” “Limita,” and “Anderson,” have also won him numerous international awards.

In 2016, we have split apart and founded a new studio of promotional films, “Flying Jar Films.” This is a team of highly enthusiastic, highly qualified individuals who are in love with their work. We do our job easily, efficiently, and cheerfully.

The territory of Georgia is 69,875 square kilometers, including the Black Sea Coast, with a length of 310km. It takes 6 hours to travel the length of the country, and 4 hours to cross it. This small territory is home to all different kinds of climate zones – subtropics, plains, deserts, caverns, forests, lakes, glaciers, the warm waters of the Black Sea, the ridges of the Caucasus Mountains, the mysterious cave towns, and modern metropolises.

In Georgia, the sun shines all year round and the days are long- perfect for shooting film.
